North East Mediators are a group of Mediators providing Mediation services to parties who wish to avail of Mediation in the North Eastern area. North East Mediators are accredited Mediators who also practice as either Solicitors or Barristers.
Mediation is voluntary and without prejudice. It is a flexible process, conducted confidentially, in which a neutral person actively assists parties in working towards a negotiated settlement of a dispute or difference, with the parties in ultimate control of the decision to settle and the terms of resolution.

Why Mediation works?
- Mediation is a flexible process. The issues considered are not restricted to legal issues but can also encompass commercial and personal issues. The venue and timing of the mediation can be agreed between the parties.
- Mediation ensures that it is the parties who stay in control and decide the outcome of the dispute.
- Mediation is confidential. The mediation itself and the circumstances of the mediation together with the resolution of the mediation remains private at all times.
- The Mediator acts as a neutral party and assists the parties in seeing how they would like to come to a resolution.
- Mediation is voluntary and at all stages during the mediation the parties are not bound to continue the mediation.
